Handmade at home-Violet's

I have finished and delivered some lovely bunting to a friend Sophie who has just opened up a tea room in the next village.  The tea room is called violet's and it is inside the old post office, you can find out more at Violet's tea rooms at it's very own Facebook page.

I was so lucky to find vintage fabric that matched the decor so well, and a perfect sunny day to photograph it too.

I was hoping to use these colours for bunting to go in my kitchen but just had another commission so lets hope there is some left for me.

Handmade at home-Busy

I feel like a little sit down! I have been so busy making and listing in my Etsy shop amooma .  I have also started to build my own web site, not finished yet but you are welcome to go and have a look at it, here is the address amooma.co.uk.

I have made my first Treasury on Etsy, I used all my favourite things on my wish list

It's quite nice to see all my favourite dream buys all together like this, now all I need is a little lottery win.

I have one more favourite at the moment and that is some new bunting I have made. When I put the colour combination together it brought back childhood memories of my local sweet shop where you could buy one penny sweets (can you still buy one penny sweets)?  The colour of the bunting reminds my of super sugary sweetie necklaces and tutti fruit's (not sure about the spelling)

Very hard to find, my husband went to 4 shops, in the end I had to get them from eBay

I have decided to use this bunting to make a bunting banner for when I have the confidence to do a craft fair, I though it would look good with felt letters spelling out ammoa.co.uk.

Bunting handmade from vintage fabric eco friendly

I am learning and concentrating so much setting up my etsy shop and trying to make my website, that when someone buys something from my shop it comes as quite a shock. I have sold another item on etsy and it did comes as a shock!  I now have had 3 sales whooo!!!

I hope to be back later this week to show you a commission, I've made some bunting for a new tea room that has just opened in a village near me.

Home-Crafting companions

The weather is so nice here in Cornwall, I thought I would spend the late afternoon outside and cut out some bunting in the garden.

Crafting companions

Thought it would be nice to let the little beasts out too.

Crafting companions

Had a lovely afternoon in the sunshine and got a lot done, in-between stopping the chickens going into the woods ( I am sure they have a death wish) and throwing ball's for my boarder collie. After an hour or so things got a little friendly down on the craft table.

Crafting companions

These two are so nosy they are always the firs to meet you when you go down to see them. They get so excited they sometimes fly straight over the fence to see what molasses you have brought them.

Crafting companions

Sneaky peak at the vintage lace, I think some wedding inspired bunting may be on the cards.

Handmade at home - Don't buy me!

I don't really know what to say about these buttons. They are just amazing and I am so happy I found them. They sparkle in the sun light like little jewels.

They all so make me think of elegant boiled sweets if a thing has ever existed. I bought them as they compliment some vintage fabric I have, but now I have them I not sure if I can part with them.

I decided to make lavender pillows and used the button to adorn them. The lavender pillows are only filled with lavender there is no stuffing, to help keep the pillows a little more rigged I have sewn a piece felt inside the pillow, this makes them quite tactile.

I will put a link to my Etsy shop amooma but please do not buy them....... well you can but only if you love them as much as me!

Vintage finds- Spring in a cup

I found these tea cup in a little second hand shop in Liskeard in Cornwall about two years ago now. I do not use them to drink out of, but to but things in.

Do not drink

As Spring is here (though still a bit chilly) I have bought myself some lovely miniature daffodils and put them in the tea cups not an original idea but a cute one!

Tea cup and daffodils

One pot only cost £1.00 and it has filled three tea cup's, bargain. I thought they may look nice in the centre of my dinner table, I am hoping they will last till the weekend as I have some friend over for supper.

My mum always calls daffodils daffs which I love. I have made some bunting, which is inspired by my new daffs. It's in my Etsy shop if you would like a closer look.

Handmade at home - New drawing pins

I have made these really cool bush pins to go with my fabric notice boards, they are as cute as a button don't you think!

The pin part is quite long which is really good for fabric memo boards. I was a bit worried how I was going to package them and send them in the post without hurting the postman/women. Thanks to my husband, as he came up with this idea of using corks(he had been saving them to make a pin board, we now have three boxes of corks in the garage)

I have them in pink too!
